NOKIA 5800 LAUNCH
With a touch screen, 8G memory, 3.2MP camera and 30fps video recording, Nokia’s 5800 Xpress Music handset was a great phone to demonstrate to a wide range of people. The campaign featured several elements, including:
- Trial activity at bus-stops with Nokia 5800 adshel advertising
- Student-focused trial activity during O-week
- Nokia zone at BFM Summer Series events
Linking into an extensive Adshel campaign we deployed trained ambassadors to engage with commuters waiting for their buses in CBD and city fringe locations. They demonstrated the key features of the Nokia 5800 and distributed “timebomb” coupons with limited life special offers such as free headsets with purchase.

A major focus of the O-week and Summer Series activity was promotion of Nokia’s Touch ‘n Go Coachella comp offering a trip to the awesome Coachella music festival in California! To enter the promotion people had to interact with the promo team and touch the 5800 handset.

In addition to the opportunity to trial the 5800 handset, the Nokia Tent offered free massages and heaps of great merchandise giveaways.
