To combat the common misconception surrounding partially-cooked frozen meats, our team of Brand Ambassadors carried out over 150 sampling sessions around NZ to encourage trial of one of ANZCO’s Angel Bay gourmet meat patties. After undergoing a recent facelift, Angel Bay’s aim was to become a freezer staple in New Zealand households.
Boasting attributes such as using premium cuts of New Zealand beef in their patties, it wasn’t hard to attract customers to the sampling stands alongside the hearty aroma wafting through the stores. After trialing the moreish sample, customers were left hungry for more of the home-style, restaurant quality patties. In the middle of winter when families were looking for a quick, nutritious, comfort meal, many customers left the store with dinner inspiration and a bag of Angel Bay patties.
The results spoke for themselves with top stores around the country recording conversion rates from samples to sales of between 40% and 60%. Qualitative feedback from shoppers was also extremely positive with over 90% of those people that were lucky enough to have a taste providing positive responses.
