Laneways 2017 saw the festival move to an iconic new location in Auckland’s Albert Park. Our brief was to create a beer and cider garden befitting the new venue for Somersby Cider and Boundary Road Brewery.

The objective was to create a positive, informative and memorable experience for all festival attendees by both minimising typical pain points around queueing times and dirty bar areas and adding fun interactive elements to make it more than just a bar.

From building our own crate style furniture to the fairy lights and building projections the site was a standout. Table tennis, giant jenga, and a corn hole throwing game gave visitors to the beer and cider garden options for light-hearted competition with their mates. In addition to the fun stuff our team placed great emphasis on keeping the space tidy and free of litter and received numerous compliments about what a pleasant area it was to chill out in.
